Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have set up 'COMEDK' to conduct a 'Common Admission Test' that would facilitate determination of merit for admissions to Undergraduate courses offered by Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges run by its members. The merit list will be used to select and admit candidates through centralised single window counselling for admissions to COMEDK member institutions for the academic year.
The list of the Member Institutions participating in the COMEDK testing program is made available on the website.
COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by central counselling (Single window system), the schedules for which will be notified in due course.
MBBS & BDS: Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC / 10+2 Higher secondary examination or equivalent examination, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject, must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the competitive entrance test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.
BE: For General category student the minimum qualification for admission to degree program in Engineering should be a pass in the 2nd PUC / 10+2 Higher secondary Examination or equivalent qualifying Examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics and any of these Subjects : Chemistry, biotech, computer science, biology or electronics.
Irrespective of marks secured in PCM subjects in the Competitive Entrance Test.
For SC, ST and OBC students the aggregate marks in PCM should be not less than 40% in the qualifying examination, irrespective of marks secured in PCM subjects in the Competitive Entrance Test.
The fee structure for M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.E., will be notified college wise and course wise as approved by the Fee Regulation Committee constituted by the Government of Karnataka. In the event of the fee fixed by the Fee Regulation Committee is under challenge by the college then the final fee fixed by the competent body and/or judicial authority will be applicable. The test venue will be mentioned in the candidate's Test Admission Ticket and also on the website under every candidate's individual login.
